YOUTH MINISTRY

The Purpose of this ministry is to:

1. Instruct the youth in the knowledge of having a personal relationship with Christ.
2. Nurture their Spiritual Growth through a proper and comprehensive understanding of the Word of God.
3. Help them understand their purpose and call so that a profound passion toward their Spiritual Gifts can be discovered.
4. Help them to recognize the important roll they play in the lives of those to whom they will evangelize.
5. Enrich their development through special emphasis such as academic success, social training, character building.
6. Encourage them to become involved in Christian recreation and activities such as the multiplicity of ministries, camps, retreats, workshops and more.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

The word train (chanak) derives from the root word meaning to 'put into the mouth' implies the idea of conditioning the palate. Proper biblical training should help our youth develop a taste for the things of God.

By effectively training our youth through a proper balance of discipline and instruction not being overly authoritarian or overly permissive, we can instruct them in imitating a biblical pattern of living throughout their lives.
